On November 7th, 2018 at 4 PM EST Michael Fraser of Refactr went on stage to present the pitch that coincided with our business plan we submitted in September for this inaugural PitchIT event. After all three pitches, and some discussion among the judges, Refactr won 1st place in the PitchIT competition. The abstract of the pitch was:
We will vastly expand our marketplace of our Cloud + Security solution blueprints, including best-practice reference architectures.
We beat out the other two finalists to take home 1st place, co-marketing with Connectwise, and 10 hours of consulting. It was great competing with the other presenters, Peter Allen and Brian Roets of SMP and James Bender, of MCA.
Mac is the youngest member of the Refactr team, though he does not lack experience with startups, as his age might suggest. He was exposed to several tech startups early in his early youth and, later in high-school, worked in startups while being mentored by founders. After graduation, Mac decided to focus his passion for media production with Refactr's marketing team. A startup had felt like the most compelling and fulfilling path because of the enthusiasm and respect Mac felt for the mentors of his youth.
